The Green Knight

Sir Gawain and the Green Knight is apart of the Arthurian legends. At a twelfth night feast, the mysterious Green Knight appears demanding to play a game. Using his axe someone my deal him one blow, only to have the same blow returned. Sir Gawain accepts the Green Knight's challenge and beheads him. Thought to be fallen, the headless knight picks up his severed head and  tells Gawain that they must meet in one year and a day for him to fulfill his side of the bargain. Gawain's honor is tested and he learns what it is to be a knight as he prepares to meet the Green Knight.
